Management and RTP of cervical injury in elite rugby
We are delighted to introduce our next speaker Colm Fuller, Head of Physiotherapy and Lead physiotherapist for concussion rehabilitation here at the Sports Medicine department in the Sports Surgery Clinic.
Colm has extensive experience in professional sport from working as senior physiotherapist with London Irish Rugby Club and Munster Rugby to his role as lead physiotherapist for Ireland Rugby national men's team, accompanying them at multiple Six Nations tournaments and the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Colm is currently undertaking his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Eanna Falvey at UCC, Cork investigating the role of neck strength in concussion. In his presentation Colm is going to explore the management and decision making around return to play post cervical injuries in the elite rugby player.
